Full Edit
This is a collaborative process that includes developmental, line, and copy editing. Here we deal with your story as a whole, then line by line, and word by word. I will check for plot holes and inconsistencies, and analyze character development, story arc, logic, tension, and pacing. We will make sure the story in your head matches the words on the page, and that those words are clear and free of any spelling, grammatical, or factual errors. A full edit can be very intensive.
Consultation
I will read through your manuscript and provide high-level feedback and direction. I will be looking for plot holes, discrepancies, areas that need to be developed further or that could be cut, and we’ll work together to discern your intentions and desired audience. Your strengths will also be highlighted, and I will provide tools and resources catered to you to further develop your writing skills.
Student Services
Whether you just need someone to proofread your paper to correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation before you turn it in, or if you need help from start to finish, I’m here for you. I can help you figure out what your professor is looking for, come up with your thesis statement, and tackle the writing as painlessly as possible. I’ll help you develop your own system that will make essay writing much less daunting, and equip you with tools and resources.
Copy Edit
This is a technical review process to correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling, and provide fact-checking. We are not making content or structural changes here. We are making sure your manuscript is as error-free and polished as possible.
